Setting it is the licensed part: blocking the home on piers and footers, leveling, anchoring to the state installation standard, joining the halves of a doublewide, and connecting the crossover duct. In North Carolina set-up contractors are licensed by the Office of State Fire Marshal, and the licence can be looked up. Ask whoever quotes you which of the two — transport, setup or both — the price covers.

A used home has to be de-skirted, disconnected from utilities, split if it is a doublewide, and inspected for the road. The site it goes to needs the same things a new home does: a graded pad, footers, and a route the truck can take. Check the destination county's rules on moved homes before paying for the move.
